Week one recap

Sorry i havn't written in a couple of days. Been busy, took a trip to NY with a friend of mine. The trip landed on my off day, so i only missed one day of my workouts. Made it up yesterday. I checked my weight & i am down four pounds! Wednesday, we will all be checking our measurements (arms, waist, thighs, etc). Today and tomorrow, my cousin and i can't do our workouts together because of clashing schedules, but we'll pick up together again on wednesday. She already completed her workout for the day. I'm doing mine right after i finish the blog!
Core syn. today! Pretty excited. This is the workout that i did not get to finish on Day one because of time, but im psyched to finish it today. My brother will be doing it with me. I woke up late today so i did not have my usual egg white breakfast but had turkey with broccoli instead. It was a real small meal, but i did not want to skip a meal so i had something. For lunch, which i just ate about 20 minutes ago, i had a turkey club (minus a slice). Thats my carb for the day. I wanted to have the carb before the work out so i could have more energy. Chicken for lunch after the recovery drink! Im thinking of having some frozen yogurt for snack because i have yet to have it! I need something sweet in my system!
I'll write tomorrow, hopefully, if not, definitely on wednesday after we measure ourselves!

Keep pressing play..

Good morning everyone!

This entry will be for yesterday because i did not have time to blog last night.
p90x has taken up a lot of my time. For those who don't know, I'm still a junior in High School so I now have to get up at least an hour earlier to make breakfast for both me and my brother (he decided to join me in the p90x "adventures" ) and then make our lunch for the school day. With all that, I still have to get ready for school. Yesterday, we had egg whites for breakfast but switched up a bit, with different cheese. Had feta instead of American. That was the highlight of my day. Before the diet, i used to have feta cheese with almost every meal. I'm doing pretty good without it though! I had a slice of wheat on the side. Made the same meal for my brother. For lunch, we had a veggie burger with some veggies and an English muffin. I had an apple about an hour after. Then came home for some cardiox! This was tough, the yoga was hard! but the Kenpo was great! Dinner: Steak & peas and carrots! Was very delicious. By the time i came home from dropping my cousin off and buying more food for today, it was already nearing 9oclock. I watched American idol, took a shower, & was in bed by 11. Hardly got any homework done, but that's okay because we had a half day today! Ill blog tonight after my third day is over (:

Ready...Set..GO!

Day one..Coming to a close.

My food description is in the last post so this will be mainly on the workout. Today, we(my cousin and my brother) started with core syns. They were pretty tiring. With how bad out of shape i am, it was hard to keep up so there was lots of pacing and slowing down, but we tried to complete as many reps as we could. The push ups were a killer because i can't do more than 3 without taking a break. Oh man its pretty bad...
So we were only to complete 50 mins out of the 60 because my cousin had band at 6 & we still hadn't cooked dinner! (which by the way, was delicious! Steak & mixed veggies) So, i know its not that great...but we had to stop and make dinner. I still currently have one serving of fruit left. So im going to eat some in a bit. Im still deciding whats for lunch tomorrow..im thinking a veggie burger with an english muffin. Sounds good to me! For dinner, not sure yet. i'll figuere it out when i get home! I am soooo ready for Day 2! Bring it!..again! (:

Chicken with a hint of Lemon...

Hello there,

Day one starts tomorrow. I'm surprisingly very enthusiastic and excited about this. My parents left for Vegas about 3 hours ago so my cousin came over to keep my company. We made our chicken for tomorrow. 60z( 2portions) from our protein, corn (half of vegetable portion) for lunch. We're planning on six eggs whites (another protein gone) with some cheese (there's a dairy) and one english muffin (half of our dairy portion), for breakfast. School snack: Yogurt (last dairy portion). Then we are buying the protein shake and bars after school. Workout starts at about 3:30, hopefully earlier. After the work out, 60z (last two portions of protein) for dinner with mixed vegetables (last vegetables portion). Likely, the drink after our workout. Lastly, i'll end the day off with a fruit portion at around 7pm, about 3-4 hours before bed. Minus the fact that these portions are half than what i usually have, it sounds quite appetizing. Hopefully between the workout and cooking, i'll finish my loads of homework. Wish me luck.

& the adventures begin

Hello all,

I know I probably won't get many readers but I want to blog about my p90x experience as i go through the days. I start p90x on Monday. Day 1 out of 90. I just went grocery shopping for my first week or so. Cost me about $50. I'm going out to get my pull up bar, yoga mats, and dumbbells pretty soon. My cousin and i are doing the program together. We're doing the lean workout. Probably best to start with that. I'm both excited and scared. Excited because I've seen so many result videos that have inspired me. Scared because I'm not good with commitment when it comes to diets and exercises. But this is where I start to change those habits. Anyway, ill blog on Monday about my first day. (:
